News
We are open Mondays through Fridays from 10 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am to 2 pm. We always need new volunteers to walk the dogs and play with the dogs and cats. A person is required to go through a 20 minute volunteer orientation and sign the necessary paperwork. If under 16 yrs. of age, an adult must also be with the volunteer. Call 757-7358 to set up a time to come in for an orientation. WE HAVE LOTS OF FUN!!
Who We Are
We are an animal shelter which strives to adopt dogs and cats to good homes and to house dogs and cats that have strayed from their home until the owner picks them up. We are a KILL SHELTER but try to keep the animals until they are picked up by their owner or adopted unless we get full or the animal is seriously injured, very sick, or aggressive.
Adopting a friend
The adoption fee for dogs is $67.50 which includes shots, spay/neuter, check for heartworm and treatment if necessary. If a dog does have heartworm, the heartworm treatment will be paid by the city once the dog is adopted.The adoption fee for cats is $57.50 which includes shots, spay/neuter and check for feline leuk. We have a vet who comes once a week who checks out the animals at our shelter and treats them if necessary.

We are located in Germantown, TN which is east of Memphis, TN. From Poplar Avenue, go South down Germantown Rd. Turn left at Southern Ave. which is just before the railroad track (Germantown Commissary Restaurant is on the other side of the railroad track. Proceed on Southern Ave., go straight past the Stop sign and the shelter is about the third building down on the left. The shelter does not have a street number but does have the name of the shelter on it.
